It’s Armistice day. I remember it being Armistice day before they changed it. Yes, I’m old.
It’s Remembrance day in Canada.
Dulce et decorum est Pro patria mori. It’s an old lie.
I hate to say it, but I was only in the first grade and did not realize it was that big a deal
Likewise, first grade. I did have grade school teachers for a few years after that brought up Armistice Day on the 11th of November.
Perhaps it was related to the small town school or just to the teachers at that school but I suspect.people were still adjusting to the Korean War having taken place and I suspect “the change” was to keep it current instead of only referencing “back then.”
