Unfortunately, there are those who are gratified by the wrenching pain of others, as they interpret it as them being more powerful or superior. And then they are astonished, indignant and angry at objections, pushback, and especially when the pain spreads back to them.
There is no shortage of pain in this world; no need to add more of it.
