The Curious Case of the Missing Underwear

Today’s comic is the first appearance of “Bucky” — the title character in a new Last Kiss-inspired animation project: IT’S ALWAYS BUCKY.

I’m developing the series with my pal, animation veteran Jack Enyart.

Jack and I have been wanting to work together for years. So, collaborating on BUCKY is sort of a dream-come-true for us!

  1. Short for Buckminster? Short for Buchanan? Named after Captain America? Named after Bucky Dent?

It’d be hard for a young lad to have so many plays on the word Bucky. Other children can be so cruel.

    • That they can, Dave. Bucky’s so new that we haven’t settled on what his actual given name is. I’ll have to think about that.

  2. I recall that age. Vaguely. The sight of a bit of cleavage was interesting yet confusing. One year later the appearance of Annette Funicello in a tight Mickey Mouse T Shirt was a religious experience.
