He’s Green with Jealousy

He’s Green with Jealousy

I think my title for Tony Isabella‘s gag about lizard romance is okay. But I came up with so many others that I sorta lost perspective. My second favorite was:

Jealousy (and Coke)—it’s the Real Thing!

Monster Movie Madness

Monster Movie Madness

I’m always happy to present a new comic written by the great Tony Isabella. I’m doubly pleased this time because today’s comic was a joint effort and (for the first time) I get to share a writing byline with Tony!

Transcript:

SCENE: Gorgo and another monster (this one tentacled) are fighting, knocking over buildings as the city is in flames and a fighter jet fires at them.

CAPTION: Gorgo was done with this movie! He was a serious actor! He knew his lines! Why didn’t his costar know his? How hard was it to memorize…”RRAAAUUGHHH?”

Beware! Beach Monsters!

Beware! Beach Monsters!

Tony Isabella‘s love for “Uncle Godzilla” isn’t exactly a secret.

For years Tony has been proclaiming himself “the pastor of the First Church of Godzilla.

Kinky? Sure. But Tony assures me that I have nothing to worry about. (No virgins, giant moths or three-headed dragons were sacrificed in the making of today’s comic.)

I appreciate Tony’s passion for giant, god-like creatures. So expect more Gorgo comics to pop up here—occasionally—in the future.

Will they be religious experiences? I don’t know. But I’m sure they’ll be funny.

Now let us prey!

Art by Steve Ditko from the story “Goro’s Triumph!” in Gorgo #11, Feb. 1963.

GORGO (thinking): Their Covid-19 numbers are climbing…and they have their beaches open! No social distancing! No masks! Uncle Godzilla definitely nailed it…about “the folly of man!”
