Even people who like to cook can get a bit burned out at this time of the year. Thank heavens for leftovers!

Fortunately (for everyone’s sake) I’m not expected to cook this Thanksgiving. So there’s much to be thankful for right there. No food poisoning this year. No need for anti-acids. No desperate three-legged, relay races (Don’t ask!) to the bathroom.

Just family, friends, fun and honestly good (as in tasty and digestible) food.

I hope you and your family enjoy the same!

Ladies, as the official spokesman for all men, I can assure you that today’s comic is…oh, hell. It’s true. But don’t feel that you actually have to cook for us.

I mean, it’s not like we’re going to actually die of starvation. We can follow recipes (if there are pictures); toast bread without burning down the house (sometimes); and we can learn to whip eggs into submission. (Bad eggs!)

In short, we’re as smart as you. We’re just lazier and better at ordering takeout!

Well, at least she’s cooking–sorta. These days, I’m either eating things cold (salads) or I’m microwaving. Does that count as cooking?

The Major General of Lustig Culinary Delights (Shelagh) has been AWOL much of this month on a nursing assignment–healing the sick and no doubt laughing at jokes funnier than mine. (Sob!) Fortunately, she’ll return in a few days and so I’ll have my audience/laugh track back.

In the meantime, it’s not like I can’t fend on my own. I’m eating pretty healthy. And it’s kinda fun seeing how many forgotten items from the fridge and pantry I can throw together in a wrap and see if they explode in the microwave. Tomorrow I may break out the wok and stir fry whatever’s in the freezer. Now, that’s real cooking!
