Unlucky Leprechaun

In 1984 on St. Patrick’s Day, my wife went insane. Instead of screaming and running out of the church, she married me. So St. Pat’s Day is always a major event for us. This year we’re celebrating three decades of Shelagh having a lapse in judgment and somehow being happily married to me. So far, so good. —John Lustig

  1. Congratulations! 30 means it’s probably going to last.
I married (never call her your current wife) my wife in 1984 as well. Our significant date is April 15. We both worked at the IRS office at the time.

  2. Many congrats to you both! Now a days if people make it 5 years it’s a miracle!

  3. Thanks, Dave & Les. It was short, but we had a great couple of days in Birch Bay, WA. Walked on the beach, slept in, watched some videos and generally just enjoyed being with each other.
