The Hair Apparent

Although I wrote the dialogue, it was colorist Dan McConnell who really came up with the basic idea for this gag. Dan originally made this young lady a blonde. Then inspiration hit and Dan sent me a new version with the wild anime/manga hair. Thanks, Dan!

  1. Hi John,
I;ve been reading your strip “Last Kiss” almost since it started. But I’ve noticed something when looking at the original art… sometimes the original artwork and dialogue is even weirder than your revisions (not that that’s a bad thing…). Maybe that’s why First Kiss didn’t last all that long! Anyways, I always enjoy the strip… Thanks for the laughs.

    • First of all, thanks for reading Last Kiss for so many years, Bill. I really appreciate it. As for the originals being weird—I agree completely. One of these days I’m going to put together a collection of the most outrageous stories from the original series.
