Last Kiss artist Diego Jourdan Pereira with his Silver Morosoli Award.

Last Kiss fans already know that Diego Jourdan Pereira is an incredibly talented artist. But now there’s official  (and shiny) proof!

On Dec. 6, 2014, Diego was awarded the Silver Morosoli Award—Uruguay’s greatest culture, arts and sciences award. The ceremony took place in at the Lavalleja Theater in Minas, Uruguay. An Uruguayan native, Diego now lives and works in Santiago, Chile.

Since late 2012, Diego has been working on Last Kiss—revamping, re-inking, re-designing and coloring old comic book art for John Lustig’s humorous Last Kiss webcomic series.

“Before Diego started on Last Kiss I could tell that he was good,” said Last Kiss creator/writer John Lustig. “But I didn’t foresee how completely he’d revamp the look of the comics. His work has been striking and frankly fantastic!”

Mainly known for his work on international licensed properties, such as the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Transformers, Toy Story, The Smurfs, LEGO, Moshi Monsters, The Three Stooges, WWE, and Regular Show, among many others; Diego’s clientele includes publishers DC Thomson & Co. , Dover Publications, ACK Media, The Topps Company, and Last Kiss Entertainment.

He’s a member of the National Cartoonists Society since 2009, and Christians in the Visual Arts since 2014.
